Scope of Role

  • Office-based at Altrincham Business Park, Altrincham, Cheshire.
  • Permanent employed position
  • Competitive basic salary, non-commission based.

  • Relationship building with Lenders to understand timescales, processes and be able to challenge the decision if required
  • Relationship building with customers
  • Action any tasks set to assist with the underwriting process, chasing valuations, lenders – ensuring knowledge & understanding around checking documents
  • Manage and action daily tasks and emails

  • Ensure a high level of accuracy for data entry and ongoing record keeping

Qualifications required for the role

  • Must hold full CeMAP qualification or equivalent CII Level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice
  • Have at least 12 months recent mortgage processing experience, preferably from within a brokerage.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills and prefer to work in a structured, planned manner.

  • To give mortgage advice to clients of this practice with regards to all matters within the scope of our mortgage regulation.
  • To ensure clients receive suitable advice in accordance with their needs and priorities.
  • To ensure you act with honesty and integrity in your dealings with client, colleagues and other associated business at all times.
  • To produce written evidence of your activities as required by our practice and our regulator.
  • To keep your own professional and personal skills and knowledge up-to-date.
  • To report any anomalies to our Compliance Officer.
  • To comply with our internal Compliance and other procedures as laid down in our written procedures.

Broad Statement of Duties

  • You are to conduct client interviews, analyse client needs, research the market and make suitable recommendations in writing.
  • You will adhere to all GDPR company procedures.
  • You will work towards KPI (key performance indicators) set by management.
  • You will provide a written audit trail as per our internal procedures.
  • You will work towards retaining and building upon you existing skills base in order to maintain your competence as an adviser paying special attention to gaps in your abilities and filling them.
  • Administration is now a major part of your role and you will ensure you do not neglect this aspect of your job.
  • You will liaise with the other advisers and admin staff in the practice in an open and co-operative manner at all times.
  • If you having difficulties you will bring this to the attention of your T&C Supervisor or the Compliance Officer so they can assist you rather than ignoring the issues causing concern.

Qualifications required for the role

Scope of Role

As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for working closely with the advisers in the gathering of information in support of all new applications and taking frontline enquiries from customers. The Case Manager will report to Karl Tidman, Director

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide proactive customer service for inbound and outbound communication by telephone and email
  • Interact and provide updates to customers, lenders and advisers as required
  • Input and process mortgage applications and DIPs for advisers as required by the adviser.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy for data entry and ongoing record keeping
  • Liaise with Lenders, 3rd parties and advisers for updates
  • Relationship building with Lenders to understand timescales, processes and be able to challenge the decision if required
  • Relationship building with customers
  • Action any tasks set to assist with the underwriting process, chasing valuations, lenders – ensuring knowledge & understanding around checking documents
  • Manage and action daily tasks and emails
  • To meet KPI target levels set by Karl Tidman, Director
  • Be prepared to go the extra mile

Competencies

  • Good working knowledge of 3mc lender panel
  • Good understanding of the mortgage market and general mortgage criteria
  • Competent and confident in building relationships on the telephone
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Flexible approach to business needs and requirements
  • Ability to use written and verbal communication appropriately
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good attention to detail. Right first-time approach
  • Good working technical approach on a multitude of lender systems

Regulation

You will have a good understanding of the regulatory issues relevant to the Company’s markets and have a strong knowledge of relevant Company policies, procedures and rules, adhering to these at all times.
